Nathan's Bar Mitzvah

To Nathan’s Family & Friends! 

We are looking forward to seeing you all this weekend! This Saturday will include two events that are in different parts of the day. We wanted to go over the schedule with you. 

Part 1: The Bar Mitzvah Ceremony

The Bar Mitzvah ceremony starts at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 4th  at Congregation Emanu-El (2 Lake Street, San Francisco, California). 

This is an important moment for Nathan…one that he has spent a long time preparing for. It is the moment in Judaism where Nathan is seen as an adult in the community, which includes a ritual where he will read from the Torah in front of his family and friends. 

The ceremony will end around 12:45 pm and will be immediately 

followed by a “Kiddush” (some light food and beverages) until 2pm. 

PARKING

Street Parking available around the Temple on Lake Street and Arguello Blvd 

Make sure to read parking signs as some are 2-hour or 4-hour limit! 

Part 2: The Bar Mitzvah Party

The evening celebration is from 6-10pm at Terra Gallery in San Francisco (511 Harrison St

San Francisco, CA 94105). It will include dinner, drinks, desserts, dancing, and other surprises.

TRANSPORTATION: 

Buses Will be Provided to and from the 

Courtyard Larkspur/Marin County

2500 Larkspur Landing Cir, Larkspur, CA 94939 

Arrive Promptly to the Marriott by 5:00pm

BUS DEPARTING LARKSPUR MARRIOTT no later than 5:15PM 

BUS RETURNING FROM TERRA GALLERY @ 11PM

Bus will leave Terra Gallery by 10:15pm at the latest

If you are interested in taking the shuttle and have not already emailed us, please do so ASAP! We do have spots available on both the adult and youth bus!

Uber is readily accessible to and from Terra Gallery! 

ATTIRE:

For the morning ceremony: 

It is traditional to wear nice clothing to the morning event. i.e.: a dress, or a suit / sport coat. 

The evening party attire is Festive! 

This CAN be different from what you wore to the morning service if you want... or the same outfit if it is easier. Ie: a dress, slacks and polo/button down with sneakers will do! We want everyone to be comfortable
